The sensors of the MultiTank system are float sensors. Each float activates the corresponding LED (light emitting diode). When a tank is full the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and Full LEDs are lit. When the liquid level is a quarter the Low LED is turned on and the 1/4 is turned off.

With these sensors you always know for certain the amount of liquid in the tank. For example when the 3/4 LED is lit you know you have more than 3/4 of the amount of liquid available. In addition the Full float activates an audible alarm. Very usefull to prevent overfilling fuel tanks.

With other type of sensors you really only know for certain that the needle is going up or down.

These sensors are robust, simple and reliable. The sensor material in contact with the liquid is 316 stainless steel. The reed switches inside the sensor tube are electrically isolated from the sensor, and the switches themselves last for a very long time.

The floats are unaffected by the liquids they are in.
